Another state-of-the-art treatment at Chan Chiropractic Clinic, P.S. is the use of cold laser therapy. This type of therapy is non-invasive and has no known side-effects. While research is ongoing, here's what we know about how the body works:
All of our bodily functions start at the cellular level. In order to do their job, each cell has to have a minimum amount of energy, called ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is produced by an organism inside the cell called mitochondria. When the cell has too little ATP, it cannot properly function, which makes the body unable to function properly. Cold laser therapy sends specific frequencies of light energy at specific wavelengths into the cell. Theoretically, the laser energy is stimulating the mitochondria inside the cells to produce more ATP, which, in turn, allows the cells to function properly. When the cells are able to function properly, the body can respond by continuing its natural healing process.
In our clinic, we have seen amazing results, ranging from relieving aches and pains to faster healing time of fractured bones, and many different conditions in between.
